September is finally here! It’s no secret fall is my favorite time of the year and I cannot wait to welcome it back into my life, especially after the hellishly hot summer we had for most of August. August was actually the hottest month EVER on record here in Korea! Temperature was in the 90’s with lows barely hitting the 70’s at night, and in the apartment it was a constant 90 degrees. I was miserable, I was hating life with a fiery passion hotter than the temperatures here mostly on account of how hot it was. Have I mentioned I hate being hot? Because I do. I turn into a grumpy, sweaty, miserable person. Seriously, 2 showers a day, it was ridiculous. Fortunately cooler temperatures have arrived with the new month, and my mood has improved drastically with the cooler weather. Relatively, cooler, mind you, still in the 80’s during the day and 60’s at night, so we aren’t talking proper fall weather yet!
On top of that since my husband was leaving for a bit everything was a) due, b) breaking c) making life exceedingly difficult. Normally the things that break are apartment related things or appliances, but no…this time it was blog related things. As you may have noticed there was blog down time this month. I was unable to post due to a bug that took me entirely too long to find a fix for, and then my host decided to lock me out of my sites. All of them, not at one time though, they went in a waves. Since my hosts support is awesome, it only took a quick email for them to fix things and I haven’t had issues since. *Phew* So things are now going well, and the blog is finally up and running again as it should be.

Did I hit my August Blog Goals?
Build a cohesive social media strategy. Build a better content strategy with a focus on content types that are popular on my blog. Update social media headers to match each other & fit new Facebook layout. Instagram 1x a day.
Can I just tell you how terrible August was for me? It was about 90 degrees at almost all times in my apartment, which made me miserable, and slightly concerned about my computer dying on me (I have lost a hard drive in the past due to my computer not being able to hack a heat wave, and that wasn’t even nearly as hot as this was!), so toss in that with some personal stuff (see below) and some technical difficulties which made it so I was unable to post on the blog (and sometimes even be able to access it) it was NOT a good month for me. None of my goals were completed for the blog. Enough excuses, it’s time for a new month and a new start! Right?
Did I hit my August Personal Goals?
- Progress on my lifts. CHECK. I’m now back to where I was before I had my massive deload!
- Focus on diet, reach my protein goals and stay within calorie goals. CHECK! I’m now within 10lbs of my goal weight!
- Renew my focus on my spirituality. CHECK!
August was a tough month for me personally, in addition to it being hideously hot I had a bumpy time with the stuff that happens right before your SO leaves for any length of time. Of course everything was due, and I had to get everything ready for while he was gone. Toss in sudden LDR (long distance relationship) stuff and it just wasn’t a fun time. However, I did stick to my personal goals, and even though I did skip gym days (migraines, yey!) I still progressed and met my goals. So I’m very happy with that!
