We traveled from Vermont to Seoul, South Korea. You don’t have to tell me that’s a long trip! It was all bad as we did spend a substantial amount of time in Vermont. I took some pictures throughout our trip and while we were on leave. So here are some more pictures from not only Vermont but also our travels to Korea.
Summer In Vermont
While in Vermont we spent most of our time with family and friends. This included attending festivals and other events (which are plentiful in Vermont in the summer). Dead Heads will surely get the August West reference, as it was a festival in honor of the Grateful Dead. Dead music was played and fun was had by all. Drinking Vermont Beer in the shadow of Jay Peak while listing to the Dead is a fine way to while away a summer day!
We were busy packing and otherwise prepping for our PCS when our anniversary came around this summer. However, my parents were looking out for us. They scored us half price tickets for a cruise on the Northen Lights, the boat we got married on. I have always wanted to have a cruise on the Northern Lights again for our anniversary, and this was close enough. It was a great cruise with awesome weather!
Traveling To Korea
It was a long trip, fraught with annoyances and a whole lot of hurry up and wait. For us, it took 3 days. Day one we flew from Vermont to Seattle. Day 2-3 we traveled from Seattle to Japan then finally to Korea. What can I say? It was a LONG flight. So very long. Just to put an extra bit of suck into our travels it thanks to traffic it took 2 hours to get from Osan AFB to Seoul. The drive wasn’t bad though, as we were kindly picked up by members of DH’s new unit who told us a bit about the place and made us feel welcome.
