Being a military family is hard. It’s even harder when finding and accessing resources to aid in your spiritual life are hard to find or simply not available. This is plight of many religions which are not yet recognized by the DoD, including many Pagan faiths. There simple are not many resources for the Pagan military family. This means that access to any sort of support systems, places of worship, groups or spiritual leaders can be hard to find.
My goal with this post is to help pagan military families find the information and support they need to help fulfill their spiritual needs when the official military community does not provide them. There are many great organizations out there that focus on helping military service members and their families. I’ve left off sources that have sadly become inactive over the years. If you have any suggestions of organizations, blogs, or other resources to add to this list, please let me know! I hope Pagan military families find this post useful and please share any other resources you may know of.
Organizations, Groups, & Charities
Circle Sanctuary supports several circles at various military installations around the world, CONUS and OCONUS. They also provide recognition for the service of pagan military members through the Pagan Military Service Ribbon. Read more about their military support services here. They offer pagan prayer cards and care packages. They are also home to the Order of the Pentacle, a pagan Veteran’s group. Additionally, they offer support services and ceremonies at Circle Sanctuary.
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans doesn’t specifically have a military support function (at least that I can find, please let me know if I’m wrong). However, UU churches and CUUPS groups are found across the US and online and may be a good starting point to find like-minded individuals and support services.
Covenant of the Goddess is one of the oldest and largest Wiccan organizations in the United States. They provide services and counseling to community members including military members.
Sacred Well is a group within the UU which is based on Traditional Craft Wicca teachings. While they are based in Texas and Missouri they have members far & wide as well as resources online. Find their military related resources here.
One of the oldest and most established pagan sites around, TWV has been connecting pagans online and offline for years, as well as providing educational information. They have a searchable database to help you find local pagans, occult shops, and groups in your area, including military centered groups.
The Pagan Military Association is a Facebook group to support Pagans in the military and their families. It’s a great place to connect with others online.
Many of the blogs I’ve found written by Pagan military spouses have gone quiet, as a result I’ve not included them here. If you’d like me to list your blog here please let me know!

Not specifically military, however, the Wild Hunt covers pagan news of note, including military pagan related news.
