There’s one part of PCS’ing overseas that’s a huge pain: getting rid of any open liquid cleaners. There were many that we couldn’t take. This means that all our cleaners are now gone! As I was lamenting the poor selection of eco-friendly cleaners at the commissary (seriously I just stood there pouting, willing more Seventh Generation to appear on the shelves), it came to me: now is a perfect time to try out all those eco-friendly cleaners I’ve collected on Pinterest!
But I need your help!
Here’s what I’d like to make:
- Toilet bowl cleaner
- Fabric Softener
- Bleach Alternative
- Laundry detergent
- Floor cleaner
Unfortunately, I don’t have a pin for all of those! Specifically the fabric softener! I would just use plain vinegar but my husband doesn’t like the smell it gives the clothes (he says they smell vinegary even after washing & drying, but I don’t notice it).
So if anyone has a pin or recipe for that to share I’d be super happy to give it a try to share it with everyone!
I’m also looking for a good floor cleaning solution. Here’s the problem: there are some hangul indents on our floor which is some sort of hardwood/laminate floor with some type of seal or wax on it. The hangul are kinda rough so they attract lots of black dirt from the air that gets all over our floors. Scrubbing only kinda gets them out.
